ART FOR Lost at Sea read Found at Sea — the title of an art exhibition at Quarr Abbey which opened this week. Bembridge artist Penelope Walford stages the show until Wednesday. Her solo exhibition celebrates the flotsam and jetsam washed up on our beaches. The result is a quirky mix of 2D and 3D work — with a faint smell of seaweed. It features a life-size, 2D beach hut exhibit made from post-storm debris — of which there has been plenty "There is also a 'show and tell’ table displaying some of the beautiful and curious objects I have picked up from the beach over the years, and an open invitation to the public to bring in their own special finds," said Penelope.
