Lights of Love services on the Isle of Wight By a County Press Reporter Sunday, November 20, 2016
COMMUNITIES across the Isle of Wight will be come together in memory of lost loved ones at the Light of Love services next month.
Throughout December, a total of 17 services will be held in aid of Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
Two main events are being held in the Newport Minster at 7pm on Friday December 2 and the hospice on Sunday 4 at 4pm.
The services bring together prayers, hymns, readings, and the lighting of candles to commemorate lives and loves past.
Nigel Hartley, hospice chief executive, said: "We are very grateful to all those who are organising a Lights of Love service in their local community, which gives everyone wherever they are the opportunity to seek comfort in the solidarity of others at this special time of year.
"These services offer a time of reflection and pause, where we remember the people that have meant so much to us throughout the years."
Lights of Love supports the ongoing work and development of services in the community and at the hospice.
