Work to improve Isle of Wight nature spot By Ross Findon Monday, November 21, 2016

BIG changes are coming to the Pan Mill Meadows nature reserve in Newport.

The managing body, Gift to Nature, has leased more land from the Isle of Wight Council and has also secured funding from the Suez Communities Trust, and Newport Parish Council.

This will extend the reserve and allow for countryside managers, Landscape Therapy, to carry out improvements.

New gates and fences will be installed, trees are to be cut back, and access to the woodland path is to be improved.

Work is expected to continue until spring 2017.
